Your New Role…

As Agile Product Owner you will be responsible for the end-to-end product ownership and ongoing enhancement of our custom-built finance applications

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various territories, as well as external developers and technical partners, to translate complex financial requirements into functional product features and manage continuous product improvement.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Own the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and finance reporting cycles

  • Manage the agile product backlog and lead sprint planning in coordination with an external development team

  • Translate business requirements and reporting obligations into clear user stories and functional designs

  • Drive the implementation of product enhancements, bug fixes and compliance-related updates

  • Support UAT processes, coordinate release and roll-out activities, provide DevOps support

  • Ensure product documentation and training materials are up to date and well-maintained

  • Ensure operational excellence through collaboration with Information Security, Data Privacy and Architecture teams

  • Understand and reflect finance requirements such as participation accounting, amortization methods, revenue and cost allocations, §32d UrhG (copyright), intercompany reporting and subsidy tracking

  • Engage with international Finance, Technology, business stakeholders and Local Production Center of Excellence to capture their needs and ensure accurate, efficient reporting processes

  • Collaborate with FP&A and Accounting to align application output with broader financial systems (SAP FICO, BW)

  • Ensure product compliance with SOX controls and audit requirements

  • Act as primary technical contact for application business users across multiple international markets

  • Manage expectations and build trusted relationships with stakeholders in Finance, Legal and Technology

  • Facilitate workshops, reviews and retrospectives with clarity and outcome orientation

  • Identify and resolve conflicts or ambiguity in stakeholder requirements through proactive communication

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience

  • Proven agile product management and digital finance systems strong expertise

  • Background in Controlling, FP&A, Participation Accounting or media finance

  • Experience with international/hybrid teams and delivery models

  • Strong grasp of participation reporting, amortization, subsidies, and intercompany processes

  • Skilled in translating finance processes into digital workflows and requirements

  • Proficient in SAP FICO, Excel reporting, and SaaS tools (e.g. Asana, Monday.com)

  • Agile certifications (PO/Scrum Master) and familiarity with Design Thinking/Lean/UX

  • Cloud (AWS), CI/CD, and basic AI/ML knowledge

  • Experience with frontend design (Figma) and software development (preferred)

  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and creative problem-solver

  • German language skills a plus

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
