Your New Role...


CNN Digital is looking for Senior Staff Product Manager to lead the vision and execution of our Video Advertising Products. As a Sr Staff Product Manager, you will play a critical role in defining, building, and maintaining our video advertising experience across our CTV, app, and web experiences.

This role is pivotal in shaping the future of video monetization across CNN’s digital platforms. You will own the roadmap and product lifecycle for ad-supported video experiences, ensuring CNN delivers premium, innovative, and revenue-optimized ad solutions that serve both our users and advertising partners.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders in Engineering, Revenue, Sales, Ad Ops, Subscriptions, Strategy, Testing, Design – to name a few. The ideal candidate has an eye for revenue opportunities and understanding of working within Product, Design, and Technology organizations.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Roadmap - Develop the video ad product roadmap across web, app, and CTV. Identify high impact opportunities based on monetization and business needs, and translate opportunities into clear, prioritized, actionable product requirements.

  • Execution - Draft concise product briefs and product specs. Draft user stories, partner with app/CTV/web teams, and work closely with video and ad tech engineering team to ensure that they understand product requirements throughout implementation.

  • Ad Technology & Innovation – Deep experience within the video tech and ad serving ecosystem (i.e. Freewheel). Ability to ensure CNN is leveraging the lastest ad technologies. For example - server-side ad insertion (SSAI), dynamic ad decisioning, contextual and addressable ads, shoppable video, and new formats like pause ads or interactive overlays.

  • Product Discovery, Experimentation, Data Driven Decision MakingPartner with CNN leaders to define a video experimentation approach around our video ad experience. Work with Ad Technology teams to test and learn how to better optimize for user experience and revenue (AVOD and SVOD).

  • CommunicationCommunicate product roadmap, progress, and results to cross-functional partners including streaming, ad tech, sales, legal, other product teams, Rev Ops, Subs. Regular partnership with Digital Analytics, Ads, and Research teams to deliver comprehensive and concise updates.

Qualifications and Experience...

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, requirement to have video and advertising product management experience

  • Proven success managing highly matrixed, complex product areas with multiple stakeholders, integrations, and cross-functional teams

  • Deep understanding and experience in the digital video ad ecosystem – programmatic video, viewability, ad serving

  • Best-in-class strategic thinking and the ability to translate business goals into actionable product plans (road mapping and key result planning)

  • Analytical mindset

  • Executive presence – comfort presenting to leadership

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $137,200.00 - $254,800.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
