40Position Summary
Performs Positron Emission (PET) scans, manages the research PET facility, and supervises imaging aspects of PET research projects for the Radiological Sciences Research Division. Also provides essential patient care associates with PET research subjects.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs PET scans on subjects enrolled by investigators and collaborators of the Center of Clinical Imaging Research (CCIR) in an organized and timely fashion.
- Renders appropriate patient care.
- Monitors and performs preventive maintenance on tomography and relevant ancillary equipment to ensure operation in accordance with MIR and manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Supervises scheduling of scanner time and coordinates scheduling of cyclotron bombardment for subjects to be imaged.
- Purchases and manages supplies used in research imaging procedures, using Washington University Financial Information System in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensures laboratory and work area comply with MIR health and safety policies and procedures with no violations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Effort
- Must possess finger and manual dexterity and lift 50 lbs. and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Must possess visual acuity, depth perception and color vision to perform laboratory operations.

Required Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

$32.73 - $50.74 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.Questions
