WashU's Division of Student Affairs seeks a data analytics professional for the position of Sr. Statistical Data Analyst. The Division of Student Affairs advances the educational mission of the university through resources and experiences outside the classroom that prepare our students for lifelong success.This leadership position within the Research & Analytics team focuses on day-to-day execution of research and analytics. They guide strategic insights, synthesize inferential data patterns, and develop insightful research questions that advance the mission of the Division of Student Affairs. This role manages the work of data analysts, which advises university leadership in ways that advance institutional priorities. The implications of this work position the university to recruit talented students and staff, to elevate its position in national rankings, and to craft a student experience that is the most equitable and transformative in higher education.
The ideal candidate is skilled in the behavioral sciences, team management, relationship building and—critically—developing and overseeing the execution of research questions that advance strategy and innovation.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead execution efforts in synthesizing major trends and analyses in Student Affairs for quarterly reports for the Board of Trustees, Deans, and other university leaders. This will require developing a systematic understanding of priorities at the university and in the national landscape of higher education to ensure WashU is positioning its programs and initiatives to be on the cutting edge.
Supervise the work of RASA analysts providing direction and, building on existing findings, identify future hypotheses to test that will advance divisional and university strategic priorities.
Guide Student Affairs departments in translating their individual goals to quantifiable metrics that can be empirically tested; map such work onto the strategic plans of Student Affairs and of the University.
Perform other duties as assigned.

$65,900.00 - $112,700.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.Questions
