WashU's Division of Student Affairs seeks a data analytics professional for the position of Statistical Data Analyst II. The Division of Student Affairs advances the educational mission of the university through resources and experiences outside the classroom that prepare our students for lifelong success.This position curates data relevant to the student experience at Washington University to inform policies and drive outcomes within the Division of Student Affairs, and to advise University leadership more broadly in ways that advance institutional priorities and strategic goals. The implications of this work position the University to recruit talented students and staff, to elevate its position in national rankings, and to craft a student experience that is the most equitable and transformative in higher education.
This individual is skilled in data analytics, strategic planning, as well as translating results from analyses to diverse audiences—ranging from those first learning about the University’s programs to senior leaders charged with high-level decision-making. Curiosity, innovation, interpersonal skills, and thoughtful problem-solving will be key to success in this position.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops and analyzes databases/datasets using statistical analysis programs.
- Audits and cleans data, conducts statistical analyses.
- May collaborate with expert consulting statisticians to identify appropriate analytic procedures.
- Assists researchers with interpretation of statistical test results.
- Creates graphs, tables, charts to depict results.
- Develops narrative descriptions of results for policy articles, journal articles and grant proposals.
- Assists in database design.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

$53,100.00 - $90,600.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.Questions
