Position Summary

Under direct supervision, this employee works primarily on the parts of the analysis of processes of major projects and may work alone on small scale standard projects for BJC learning management system, Epic1 Validation Portal, ServiceNow and Epic1 training schedule. This individual will work to support project managers in areas such as clinical adoption, health information management, revenue management, information systems and finance to assist in the development and execution of an integrated project across BJC Healthcare. This employee will have sound knowledge of the organizations systems and processes, expertise in the business area, and current technology advances and IT capabilities.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Produces models in support of the business strategy utilizing BJC learning management system, Epic1 Validation Portal, ServiceNow and various Microsoft Office products. Develops organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for requirements definition and management for adult learning, E-Learning development and delivery, Epic1 Validation Portal structure. Is responsible for planning and coordinating team modelling activities and for ensuring the quality of their work within BJC learning management system and Epic1 Validation Portal.
  • Manages the execution of business process improvements. Analyses and designs business processes to identify alternative solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness and exploit new technologies and automation. Develops graphical models of business processes to facilitate understanding and decision-making. Assesses the feasibility of business process changes and recommends alternative approaches. Selects, tailors and implements methods and tools for improving business processes at programmed, project or team level. Contributes to the definition of organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for business process improvement.

  • Plans and drives scoping, requirements definition and prioritization activities for large, complex initiatives. Selects, adopts and adapts appropriate requirements definition and management methods, tools and techniques. Contributes to the development of organizational methods and standards for requirements management. Obtains input from, and agreement to requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders. Negotiates with stakeholders to manage competing priorities and conflicts. Establishes requirements baselines. Ensures changes to requirements are investigated and managed.

  • Plans and manages acceptance testing activity within BJC learning management system and Epic1 Validation Portal. Specifies the acceptance testing environment for systems, products, business processes and services within BJC learning management system and Epic1 Validation Portal. Manages the creation of acceptance test cases and scenarios within BJC learning management system and Epic1 Validation Portal. Ensures that defined tests reflect realistic operational conditions and required level of coverage within BJC learning management system and Epic1 Validation Portal. Ensures tests will verify results are documented, analyzed and reported to stakeholders, and required actions taken. Highlights issues and risks identified during testing to stakeholders.

  • Develops acceptance criteria related to functional and non-functional requirements, business processes, features, user stories and business rules within BJC learning management system and Epic1 Validation Portal. Designs, specifies and executes test cases and scenarios to test that systems, products and services fulfill the acceptance criteria and deliver the predicted business benefits within BJC learning management system and Epic1 Validation Portal. Collaborates with project colleagues and stakeholders involved in the analysis, development and operation of products, systems or services to ensure accuracy and comprehensive test coverage within BJC learning management system and Epic1 Validation Portal.

Salary Range

$58,400.00 - $99,700.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
