In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and fit for purpose of data across key lending systems of origination and systems of record. This role plays a critical part in supporting regulatory reporting, strong data governance practices, and collaborative engagement across business, Application Business Owner, Enterprise testing, and data warehouse teams.


In this role, you will:

  • Perform as a Data Steward ensuring data quality, compliance, and governance for Commercial Banking data processes across lending systems of origination and systems of record.
  • Key areas of responsibility include partnership and close collaboration with Application Business Owners, legal, business teams, and downstream data consumers to ensure data consumed for internal and external reporting meets requisite data quality dimensions and fit for purpose requirements.
  • Design and conduct data monitoring testing, routines and analysis; research and resolve data deficiencies; represent the business in data initiatives and projects;, review and enhance controls and control activities; consult on process changes and procedures to support data quality enhancements; drive standardization of data element interpretation and source document usage; respond to audit requests; and create visibility and transparency to data usage and downstream consumption.
  • Manage or support comprehensive activities to fulfill commitments to resolve data deficiencies. These activities may include providing data and resource support for assessment and resolution activities, including complete root cause analysis to drive disposition and remediation decisions and the dispositioning of data deficiencies and remediation fulfilment.
  • Collaborate daily with the Application Business Owner, reporting teams, other technology partners, and coverage and product teams across Commercial Banking.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Credit Consulting Portfolio experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Data Management and Data Governance experience
  • Strong understanding of Commercial Banking data, particularly across lending systems of origination and systems of record.
  • Knowledge of risk and regulatory reporting frameworks and requirements.
  • Proven experience performing complex data analysis and translating findings into actionable remediation strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of data quality principles, data integrity management, and industry best practices.
  • Experience implementing or managing data quality rules and standards.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience partnering with Application Business Owners, data warehouse teams, and business process owners.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance strategies and their impact on operational and reporting data quality.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to present findings, influence stakeholders, and advocate for data-driven decision-making.
  • While SQL knowledge is not required for this role, familiarity with querying or interpreting data through SQL is helpful and may support success in the role.

Pay Range:

Minneapolis – Minnesota Pay Range: $111,100 - $197,500 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations)
