The Consumer Technology group consists of Home lending, Auto, Cards and Platform support for various applications across retail/mortgage lending businesses. About the Role
As part of Wells Fargo Technology team, this position is responsible for leading a team of highly skilled technologists towards change the bank efforts for a portfolio of applications in a Home Lending Servicing at India. The position will also be a technical expert playing the lead role for a functional / product area. This is a hands-on management position primarily responsible for the application development, maintenance and project delivery as part of Agile Release Train (ART) in scaled agile environment. The role encompasses technical/ functional expertise, people management and stakeholder management. In addition, the role will require working closely with US partners and team to recommend and influence the adoption of standards, best practices, and consistent/repeatable solutions that can be leveraged by the entire team.
Responsibilities
- Lead Agile teams within Home Lending technology teams in India and deliver technology solutions to the business by leveraging existing platforms, and build new platforms as needed.
- Work with US technology managers on projects and be directly responsible for full project life cycle for projects / applications including user interaction, planning, development, testing and L3 support.
- Manage and collaborate effectively with all the stakeholders including business teams, technology, operations and support teams.
- Understand the enterprise priorities and help the team to align to those priorities.
- Work closely with operations and support teams and help in getting those teams collaborate effectively with the business and development teams.
- Look for opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization of the platform.
- Ensure operation hygiene of the team.
- Recruit, mentor and develop talent by setting appropriate goals and expectations for the team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement ideas and projects.
- Lead design, development, testing and implementation of complex design requirements, application systems components, tools and utilities, including the most complex modeling, simulation and analytic development efforts.
- Conceptualize and execute a business case, gain sponsorship and stakeholder support, wherever needed plan, perform and resolve escalated platform coding and testing issues of a technically challenging nature.
- Sound knowledge in IT Service Management, ITIL, Release Management & Service transformations. Responsible for understanding the application and work towards creation of SLA and BCP plans
- Engage with stakeholders across the org to deliver on technology priorities and be a strategy mentor and train other members of the team.
- Identify system bottlenecks and opportunities for process improvements, contribute towards application stability, identify incident patterns, and report vulnerability in production environment.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Leadership experience
Desired Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in developing enterprise software solutions, preferably in the Banking and Lending space.
- Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent and must have 4+ Years of relevant experience and proven record of leading and managing agile teams.
- Well verse in developing applications and Architecture experience leveraging .NET or Java stack, J2EE, Spring Boot, UI Technologies (ReactJS, Angular, JQuery), Micro services, Design Patterns & Cloud Platform enablement with engineering focus.
- Experience in agile framework
- Knowledge of scaled agile framework and Agile Release Train (ART)
- CI/CD working knowledge with tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, Gradle, SonarQube
- Excellent communication (both spoken and written English) and interpersonal skills
- Should possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively across organizational lines and with virtual team members.
- OOPs understanding, proficient in Core Java & any scripting language (Python/JavaScript/Shell)
- Familiar with Static code analysis, Code coverage analysis, Cross-browser testing, API testing & Test Data Management. Adhere to best practices/coding standards
