RESF is part of the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) group within Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking. RESF operates as an investment banking product group in Wells Fargo Securities responsible for the origination, structuring and distribution of debt for our CRE clients. We are part of a highly successful and well-established global team located in New York, Charlotte, San Francisco, and London that consistently ranks at/near the top of global league tables. This role would provide support to the US RESF team in executing the syndication strategy of CRE EMEA.
Working closely with CRE in the UK and Ireland and Speciality Real Estate Finance Group in the US, we structure, underwrite and distribute loans throughout the capital stack to a diverse range of banks, insurers, pension funds, asset managers and debt funds globally. You will work on a broad range of financing types such as acquisition, construction, event driven and take private financings, opining on the marketability of the underwritten loan and executing the distribution.
In this role, you will:
- Produce analysis, reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare marketing documents, including pitch materials, confidential offering memoranda and management presentations to aid client conversations and enhance execution prospects
- Conduct extensive financial and industry market research to evaluate the risk/return parameters of a transaction
- Prepare detailed financial, comparables and commercial analysis such as distribution risk probability analysis with credible recommendations
- Provide relevant and timely support to senior bankers when responding to all of our stakeholder’s queries, both internal and external
- Be one of the day to day operational contacts for clients and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Carry out and present debt market research on the European lending market
- Maintain the database of clients and loan transactions
- Load deal information to external syndications websites
- Act as the main liaison with the rating agencies and typical securitisation parties developing a clear understanding of ratings and sizing methodologies to help inform loan tranching together with developing comprehensive plan to educate and train staff in such methodologies.
- Collaborate with the DCM desk and sales and trading desk on pricing and distribution.
- Collaborate with peers, process partners and internal partners, including on product knowledge and market intelligence. Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement: simple, better, faster.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Investment Banking Program, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Microsoft Office proficiency
