About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant to join our Financial Crimes Operations (FCO) Product & Transformation Team. This role will be part of our Program Governance & Oversight team.

The Program Governance and Oversight Team leads the implementation, oversight and continuous improvement of governance programs across our product implementation and vendor management functions. They also oversee program management activities across new and existing applications, with a strong focus on operational excellence and regulatory compliance. This team works very closely with the product teams and the Risk & Control team within FCO Product & Transformation.

The selected candidate will be skilled at leading strategy sessions to define, implement and oversee their respective programs. The role requires the aptitude to understand and design the end-to-end operational process, collaborating with our business and technology partners, and escalating keys risks and challenging decisions.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services, and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement program governance frameworks, policies, procedures and best practices related to: Product Implementation, Vendor Management, and AI/Model Risk Governance
  • Manage intake processes, change management forums and ongoing prioritization of initiatives
  • Track and monitor program deliverables, key milestones, and compliance to internal and external requirements
  • Support financial planning, investment tracking, and resource allocation routines tied to product delivery
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans.
  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Influence, guide, and lead less experienced staff within the group.
  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Program Management, Program Governance, Product Management, Risk Management, or Business Execution experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 3+ years leading/supporting governance frameworks, program lifecycles and risk management practices
  • 3+ years KYC/Financial Crimes experience - Beneficial Ownership, CDD, EDD, Screening, etc.
  • 3+ years working in or with lean and agile software delivery teams.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing roadmaps, strategies, and products ranging from concepts in ideation through to market delivery.
  • Lead the development and execution of complex business plans, programs and initiatives which have impact across the enterprise with broad impact.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of engaging executives and other stakeholders to support important business decisions.
