About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Business Systems Consultant in Lending Solutions Group as part of Commercial Banking. The Commercial Lending Product team at Wells Fargo will support the commercial lending product capabilities across loan origination, loan servicing and loan delivery. We are seeking a detail oriented and experienced Technical Writer to support our Loan Accounting team by creating clear, concise and user-friendly documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with application such Loan IQ, CBOA or other commercial loan accounting platforms and be proficient in translating complex processes into easily understandable formats. This role involves developing user guides, job aids, process flows, training materials and operational documentation tailed for end users, operations staff and senior leadership.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in providing technology initiatives for simple to moderately complex business problems within technology business systems
  • Contribute to the development of systems and procedures that are both cost effective and meet the relevant business requirements
  • Evaluate moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of planning and direction conducted to resolve complex business problems
  • Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate moderately complex business problems and lead a team to provide comprehensive technological solutions
  • Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition or improvement to re-engineer technical processes
  • Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to evaluate and resolve issues in order to provide technological solutions and manage both project schedules and deliverables
  • Coordinate communication and information flow between business and technology teams


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in retail Lending, Syndicated lending, Leasing or any financial domain.
  • 2+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Technical writing and Sr. Management communication experience required
  • Demonstrated experience with implementations of commercial lending applications, Loan IQ.
  • 2+ Years of Demonstrated knowledge of the Agency Syndications & Loan Trading business in a front office, Operations, or Business Systems Consulting role.
  • Experience working in Agile methodology with ability to elicit requirements, user stories, document processes and create test cases.
  • Experience with Testing and Defect Tracking software, such as ALM or JIRA.
  • Experience in attending Scrum ceremonies like Daily Scrum, Sprint planning, Sprint retrospective meetings.


Job Expectations:

  • Collaborate with Product team, Product Support team, Operations, business analysts, and developers to gather process/enhancement information and requirement
  • Conduct Interviews on walkthroughs with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to extract procedural and technical information
  • Document new system/feature functionalities and update following UAT and production releases
  • Ensure documentation meets internal quality, compliance and audit standards
  • Update existing materials in line with changes to system processes, controls or regulations
  • Support the training team in designing learning content for new hires or cross functional team members
  • Maintain version control and a centralized repository of documents
  • Hands-on experience with Loan IQ, CBOA or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of commercial loan life cycle and related operational processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • Proficient in documentation tolls such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Snagit, Confluence
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with attention to details
  • Update and Maintain Loan IQ, CBOA, other supporting applications user guides
  • Partner with multiple Loan Accounting Agile teams to obtain details for release documentation, release communications and provide partners with details for procedure documentation updates
  • Create and maintain job aides
  • Maintain pipeline and schedule for all release updates and communications
  • Maintain and update Loan Accounting Confluence page
  • Assist in implementation communication and user guide sign-offs pre-distribution
  • Loan Accounting experience recommended
  • Loan IQ knowledge recommended
  • Technical writing and Sr. Management communication experience required
