About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Sytems Operations engineer. This resource will be a part of the RIAT Platform team that supports 130 applications supporting the Risk and Internal Audit business functions. There are a number of critical applications within this portfolio where any impact to the application SLA will have a direct impact to Wells Fargo business and reputation. these roles are critical to building a strong RIAT platform team, they will uplift the team’s knowledge and capability to deliver end to end support of applications whilst also driving the maturity of application observability, health and stability.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
  • Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
  • Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
  • Drive solutions to reduce recovery
  • Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
  • Design complex system upgrades
  • Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
  • Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of Windows and Linux

  • 5+ years of MS SQL database

  • 5+ years of AppDynamics and Splunk for developing monitors, troubleshooting, and identifying performance issues, working with developers in building permanent fixes


Required Qualifications for Europe, Middle East & Africa only:

  • Experience in Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven in identifying automation opportunities, developing and implementing solutions
  • Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including management

  • Strong team or technical leadership experience

  • Proven track record of driving change and process improvement

  • Ability to manage initiatives involving process improvement
