The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX scripting (Perl, Shell, or Python) and hands on experience with C or Java. You will support the Enterprise Payments Operational Data Store and Wire History applications. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can balance maintaining existing code but also learn new tools and languages as we modernize our applications. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing our intraday payments tracking and reporting systems, optimizing performance, and mentoring platform team members.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development, with strong experience in writing complex stored procedures and performance tuning
- 2+ years of experience in UNIX scripting (Shell, Perl, or Python)
- 2+ years of programming experience in either C or Java
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with the Relational Gateway (RGW) loader and database package of ACI Money Transfer System (MTS) 5.0
- Experienced in Agile software development principles
- Understanding of non-functional requirements and software design best practices
- Experience with CI/CD tools
- Experience with file creation and transmission
- Experience with PowerBI or ThoughtSpot
- Experience in Payments or Financial domain
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively across organizational lines and with virtual team members
