The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. We focus on our clients' overall financial needs, with consideration and respect for their total relationship with Wells Fargo.
This individual will work at a senior level to sell the firm’s research and new issue product to important client base. The role requires working closely with our Prime brokerage team to identify new opportunities and fortify existing relationships and have an understanding and working knowledge of products/strategies to help clients who want to express their investment views using options. The role will also support our focus on building strong client relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance driven culture.
In addition:
- Advise experienced leadership to develop client financial objectives
- Analyze gathered facts to reach a conclusion for more complex matters
- Identify opportunities to mitigate legal, regulatory, reputational, and financial risks
- Lead the strategy to gain insight into the clients financial goals that require in-depth evaluation, and deliver solutions that are long-term and large-scale
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to experienced leaders on implementing innovative and significant business solutions for client objectives
- Engage with all levels of professionals and managers companywide and serve as a skilled advisor to leadership
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- A BS/BA degree or higher
- Existing West Coast long-only and hedge fund relationships
- Bulge bracket experience with the ability to sell multiple equity products
- Deep knowledge of equity capital markets
- Expert in tailoring communication and distribution of the firm’s equity research product based on client needs/preferences
- Understanding of derivatives and options strategies
- Understanding of macro/credit markets
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Strong teamwork orientation
Job Expectations:
- Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
