About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join the Regulatory and Basel Reporting team. This position will be responsible for preparation and analysis of the FR Y-14M/Q reports along with execution of best practices to ensure the reporting process is well-controlled and sustainable. The implementation of process improvements, automation and efficiency projects will be a integral part of this role.


In this role, you will:

  • Perform and develop validations, reconciliations, checks, period over period variance analysis and other analytics to ensure adherence of the reports to the regulatory instructions and guidelines.

  • Obtain and maintain advanced knowledge of FR Y14Q/M regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Partner with the Regulatory Interpretations Team and data providers to ensure that consistent adherence to regulatory rules including assessment of scheduled changes.

  • Identify and execute on efficiency and continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Participate in strategic projects to support the Regulatory Reporting and Basel Team in meeting the changing and heightened expectation of regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Ensure the compliance with requirements under the Company’s Regulatory Reporting Governance & Oversight Framework including desktop procedures, work papers, and internal controls for the assigned regulatory reports.

  • Anticipate and identify issues based on expert knowledge of existing reporting processes and/or business trends, and lead issue investigation and remediation

  • Analyze complex reporting data to identify and report data issues that could lead to reporting errors.

  • Analyze the regulatory proposal of new/revised rules, support the reporting team to assess the data readability, and assist in addressing the comments to the Federal Reserve Board (FRB)

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of risk and finance regulatory reporting experience

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

  • Knowledge and understanding of OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition)

  • Knowledge and understanding of corporate governance, financial reporting systems, legal entities, and role of regulatory authorities

  • 2+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
