In this role, you will:
Help lead effort to develop proxy voting policies and guidelines in conjunction with Investment, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Business teams, and third-party vendor support
Research and provide recommendations on proxy proposals
Work with internal groups and third-party systems and services to develop and support ongoing proxy voting operations and required internal and client reporting
Develop expertise in third-party vendor platforms and proxy voting infrastructure and administration to address problems that may arise in the submission of proxy votes
Develop and implement standardized controls and reconciliation processes to ensure flawless execution of processes and procedures and that all regulatory and client obligations are met
Oversee and execute processes focused on developing policies and enacting decisions that are in the best interests of clients in seeking to enhance shareholder value and require strong investment and business policy acumen
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Retail Investment Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
2+ years working experience in investment stewardship research, engagement, analysis, and proxy voting
Demonstrated ability to build successful partnerships with internal investment teams and third-party vendors
Prior working knowledge of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles and proxy proposals
Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Suite
Master's degree or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal compliance and risk teams, and externally with third-party service providers
