About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking Lead Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as GitHub Actions, Harness, and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). In this role, you will lead infrastructure automation efforts, manage CI/CD pipelines, and ensure reliable, secure, and scalable cloud-native deployments. You will play a pivotal role in enabling high-velocity development and operational excellence across engineering teams.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications
  • Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure
  • Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals
  • Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
  • Design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team
  • Collaborate with engineering and application teams to drive CI/CD adoption and migrating applications to the latest CI/CD tools with acceptable quality solution.
  • Act as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation for Harness, GitHub, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools, and designs.
  • Understand the application team's build, release, and deploy automation needs and provides services that align with Enterprise DevOps standards and Wells Fargo's vision and values.
  • Collaborate with application teams, and technology partners to automate their application build and deployment processes with our version control systems, CI/CD tools, and security scanning systems.
  • Provide consultation and training to the application teams on the latest pipeline, related tools, and benefits as needed to promote self-diagnosis and self-service potential.
  • Assist application teams with build, deployment, scanning, software configuration management (SCM), and CI/CD issues and queries.
  • Enable software development teams to modernize their applications by leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as cloud, containers, and microservices, configuration management, infrastructure as a code (IAAC).
  • Consult with the engineering team on changes, which requires a strong understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive the new initiatives.
  • Ensures that the quality, security, and compliance requirements for the supported area are met, and oversees the creation, updating, and testing of the business continuity plan.
  • Prepare and keep knowledge repositories up to date; educate team members and stakeholders.
  • Understand dependency management requirements and the ability to reconcile application team needs and best practice standards.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, hands-on experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles, Strong experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub Actions and Harness


Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles with education in engineering or a related field.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub Actions and Harness.
  • Proven experience deploying and managing applications on OpenShift (OCP).
  • Deep understanding of containerization, orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (Azure, or GCP)
  • A minimum of 1 years of experience working on configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead infrastructure projects and mentor team members.


Job Expectations:

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to be:

  • An individual contributor to support in migrating applications for CI/CD tools/platform.
  • Experienced DevOps professional with hands-on working experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub Actions, OCP and Harness.
  • Collaborate with CI/CD engineering and application teams for requirements and come up with acceptable quality solution.
  • Establish DevOps best practices across environments, driving continuous improvement in deployment speed, reliability, and security.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging tools and technologies to optimize infrastructure and workflow efficiency.
  • Prepare and keep knowledge repositories up to date; educate team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory standards across infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Guide and mentor a team of DevOps and infrastructure engineers, fostering a high-performing culture.
