About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Power Platform) to join our Technology organization as part of the Credit Risk and Data Reporting (CRDR) team. This team is at the forefront of managing the data platforms and governance frameworks that support credit risk oversight and enterprise risk data management.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and support of high-impacting Loss Forecasting applications, while helping to uphold the governance structures that ensure data quality, regulatory compliance, and risk transparency across the enterprise. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that enable informed decision-making.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in application development, data governance, and UI modernization. This role will lead the intake and execution of new business requirements, ensure compliance with risk data governance standards, develop scalable solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, and modernize legacy React applications into Angular. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, hands-on technologist, and collaborative leader.
In this role, you will:
Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years SQL experience
4+ years Power Platform experience
Desired Qualifications:
Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
Experience in React and Angular, with knowledge of migrating between the two.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and risk management principles
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., finance)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive mindset toward identifying and resolving issues
