About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Securities Research Specialist
Corporate & Investment Banking delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking; commercial real estate lending and servicing; investment banking; equity; and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.
In this role, you will:
Serve as an individual contributor role in the Global Research and Economics Group supporting Wells Fargo Securities
Be responsible independently or as part of a team for research direction of industries, markets and companies
Provide research coverage with a wide knowledge of the business, marketplace and clients
Engage business to provide exceptional service to clients
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development of our ESG strategy for both external client engagement and internal projects that help us meet our climate and sustainable finance goals, including but not limited to, the following activities:
Partner with senior bankers to create client-and situation-specific materials on ESG considerations across lending, debt capital markets, equity capital markets, advisory engagements, risk management and liquidity
Research competitive dynamics, market developments, investor trends, and industry best practices.
Help develop segment specific ESG analysis to support strategic client dialogue, including investor and reporting trends, third-party methodologies and industry standards.
Support the development of innovative products and solutions that address the evolving ESG-related needs of clients and investors.
Provide support through research and the creation of presentation materials for the development of CIB’s efforts to meet our Company’s Net Zero by 2050 and $500B in sustainable finance by 2030.
Collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders to support this broad, growing and dynamic aspect of banking
Expected to work on assigned tasks independently with guidance on the more complex transactions

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
- Investment banking experience post MBA / CA
- Prior Environmental Social Governance (ESG) experience, analytics and sustainable finance experience is preferred
