About the Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to support the Consumer Banking & Lending Finance team in India. This role will serve as a strategic finance partner, delivering insights and analytics that drive business performance across AI and data-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, storytelling ability, and a passion for innovation in financial reporting and planning.
In this role, you will
- Lead the end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, including executive and business reporting.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Partner with business to provide insights on performance drivers and risks.
- Prepare and present executive-level dashboards, business reviews, and financial summaries.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Lead and contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including automation, process optimization, standardization through process excellence and system enhancements.
- Drive standardization and scalability of FP&A processes across regions and functions.
- Partner with global finance teams, and functional stakeholders to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Provide strategic financial support and insights across Consumer Banking & lending products.
- Analyze Month end/Quarter end close results, perform variance analysis, and provide actionable commentary to senior leadership
- Conduct deep dive analytics and trend analysis to support business decisions.
- Perform complex variance and trend analyses and communicate recommendations.
- Support ad hoc business and finance needs across Consumer Banking & Lending functions.
- Support ad hoc analysis and business case development for new AI and analytics capabilities.
- Manage and validate financial models, including documentation, back-testing, and KPI tracking.
- Ensure compliance with model risk management policies and maintain documentation.
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
- MBA, CA, CMA, or CFA or equivalent qualification.
- Hands-on experience in LOB/product reporting, analysis, dashboard creation & story telling by partnering with Business teams
- Proficiency in financial modeling, template building, and presentation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of MS office and Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with Essbase, Hyperion, Cognos, SQL, Power Query, Power Apps and SAS.
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools and technologies in financial analysis, forecasting, or reporting
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in flexible timings to maximize overlap with US counterparts.
Job Expectations
