Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Charlotte, NC.

Job Role and Responsibility:

Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to be part of a team that provides reporting for Risk and Compliance across all levels of the organization. This position will use their strong understanding of holistic Microstrategy platform, how to design and build semantic layer & objects, and overall delivery of Microstrategy reports & dashboards. This position will partner with Data Modelers, ETL developers, and Business Intelligence Analysts to design/develop/deploy Business Intelligence based solutions in the enterprise risk domain. Primary responsibilities for the individual in this role will be: Work closely with Data Modelers to structure data requirements into a data warehouse model for reporting and analytics. Work with Business Stakeholders to build semantic objects to meet desired output. Build, maintain and govern the Microstrategy semantic reporting layer to ensure data consistency and single version of the truth. Complete Unit Testing to ensure low probability of defects and that data matches with back-end systems. Ensure reporting solutions are highly usable, scalable, and maintainable. Understand the impacts of reporting/semantic layer performance factors and collaborate with the Data Architect to implement mitigating physical modeling solutions. Perform code and design reviews to ensure performance, maintainability, and standards. Enforce MicroStrategy design standards, reusable objects, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies for the organization. Remote work permitted two days per week.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Electronic Engineering or related technical field and 4 years of Software Engineering experience.

Position requires the following:

  • 4 years of experience with Enterprise Risk Data
  • 4 years of MS SQL server experience
  • 4 years of experience with end-to-end design and delivery of data warehouse applications
  • 4 years of experience delivering Business Intelligence (BI), analytics and reporting using API Services architecture
  • 4 years of experience designing and building MicroStrategy Schema layer Objects (Attributes, Facts, Hierarchies, Transformations and Logical tables)
  • 3 years of Tableau experience
  • 3 years of Agile experience
  • 2 years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development experience using Talend
