About this Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer (SSE) to join our ServiceNow engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of platform development and innovation, with a strong focus on Service Catalog, workflow automation, and Generative AI integration. You will play a key role in transforming traditional service delivery into intelligent, conversational experiences that improve efficiency and user satisfaction across the enterprise.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain Service Catalog items, record producers, and associated workflows using Flow Designer.
- Automate service delivery processes by implementing and optimizing ServiceNow workflows.
- Integrate Generative AI capabilities into ServiceNow to enable intelligent recommendations, summarizations, and enhance Virtual Agent interactions.
- Build and maintain Conversational Catalogs using Virtual Agent Designer for intuitive, chat-based service experiences.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable, user-centric solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to catalog items, workflows, and integrations.
- Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates and Gen AI advancements to continuously improve platform capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable solutions within the ServiceNow platform, with a particular emphasis on the Service Catalog module, Flow Designer, and Virtual Agent Designer.
You will also lead efforts to integrate Generative AI capabilities into the platform, enabling smarter recommendations, summarizations, and chat-based interactions.
This role requires close collaboration with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions that align with business goals.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, with a strong focus on Service Catalog and workflow automation.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow Flow Designer, scripting (JavaScript), and REST/SOAP integrations.
- Deep understanding of ServiceNow architecture, including tables, Glide APIs (GlideRecord, GlideForm, etc.).
- Experience in building and managing ServiceNow reports and dashboards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or higher certification.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Implementation Specialist.
- Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into enterprise platforms.
- Familiarity with Virtual Agent Designer and building conversational interfaces.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative development environments.
