About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst- DCM

In this role you will:

  • Act as primary analytical support for debt capital markets (DCM) bankers in the origination of investment grade corporate public bonds (either from UK/European issuers or from issuers looking to access European currency markets). Example roles and responsibilities include:
  • Preparing marketing documents, including, but not limited to: pricing updates, pitch materials, offering materials, roadshow marketing materials and management presentations
  • Management and analysis of data
  • Running the internal preparation process ahead of a deal, liaising with stakeholders including corporate bankers, risk and compliance teams
  • Conducting financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of a transaction
  • Participate in due diligence calls and other client interactions during which you will gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers
  • Participating in the execution and pricing of transactions in the global debt capital markets, including liaising and working with DCM teams at other banks
  • The Analyst provides these services supporting a team of DCM coverage and syndicate bankers

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Investment Banking, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to problem solve
  • Must demonstrate high level of personal motivation
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be comfortable functioning both independently and as part of a team, meeting stringent deadlines and work quality standards
  • Able to learn quickly and apply critical thinking skills to achieve objectives for both internal and external clients
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong sense of personal accountability
  • Ability to work as a team player in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, including ability to coordinate multiple work streams and deliver against tight timelines
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing financial statements
  • Proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint, to clearly present trends and themes
  • Ability to interact with clients and internal stakeholders in a confident and professional manner, adapting to different personality types
  • Fluency in English is required. Additional language skills, including but not limited to French, German and Spanish, are a plus
  • Previous debt capital markets experience preferred
  • Proven academic performance. Educated to BSc/BA level strongly preferred
