About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Product Manager.
Wells Fargo’s Global Payments & Liquidity Management - Product Management group provides treasury management services primarily for business customers, offering a comprehensive suite of financial services that help our customers to collect, disburse, manage, and invest their funds.
This Product Management/Product Owner role is in the Information & Data Solutions (I&DS) organization, specifically. I&DS is responsible for all ongoing and day-to-day product management and development and infrastructure management for the portfolio of reporting and data products in I&DS. The team is responsible for leading and supporting product initiatives to deliver payments, reporting, receivables, account, and liquidity solutions and other financial solutions in support of the $3B/year Treasury Management business.
In this role, you will:
- Strategize marketing based on assessment of results-based environment and new opportunities for product implementation and enhancements
- Review and analyze development of new products and product lines
- Provide support for product life cycle management
- Review global market dynamics, trends, regulatory impact, and risk management
- Present recommendations to resolve more complex situations and exercise independent judgment
- Develop, implement and maintain products, services and marketing programs
- Adhere to compliance and privacy regulations and policies
- Collaborate and consult with project teams, internal partners and stakeholders, including vendors and third parties
- Responsibilities include partnering with development teams as they work to plan and execute successful delivery of application development, testing and deployment. They will contribute to the development of concise requirements or user stories with clearly understood acceptance criteria that set up development teams for successful sprints while maintaining sufficient backlog to keep development work productive and on track.
- The Product Manager/Owner works with partners in Product, Technology, Risk and Digital to deliver on the required upgrades as well as partners in Sales, Service, Implementations and Operations for product launch readiness. This requires strong communication and organizational skills and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be process-focused to ensure deadlines are met, issues blocking development are identified and resolved, tracking of program metrics and milestones is completed and partners and leaders are kept informed of progress.
- Provides leadership to project teams; identifies project goals, objectives, deliverables, constraints and issues; monitors completion of tasks to ensure that project goals are achieved.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Product Management experience, product development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Product Management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, influencing, and inspiring cross-functional teams
- Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
- A proven track record for complex product initiatives
- Well-rounded analytical and business skills, communication skills, leadership capabilities, and a flexible teamwork approach.
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of agile development
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with banking or financial services experience.
- Ability to provide detailed analysis and documentation in support of overall initiatives.
- Proven success in developing strong business relationships with other product partners and related teams, interacting with leadership on behalf of initiatives.
- Experience in product management.
- Establish requirements collaboratively with other product SMEs and stakeholders, and distill those requirements in concise, easy to understand user stories with clear, detailed acceptance criteria.
- Support cross functional product development efforts that may require multiple, cross-domain, development teams
- Collaborate with design resources to support intuitive, responsive design practices that adhere to ADA guidelines
- Partner with product and development teams to deliver value adding products and services to Treasury Management customers
- Collaborate with implementation, service, and operations teams to ensure product related processes are documented and operate smoothly.
Job Expectations:
- 2+ years of Product Management experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Financial Technology companies
- Project management experience
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
- Ability to facilitate design sessions
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and partnering skills
