About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Product Manager to serve as a Product Owner for Small Business Card within the Decisioning and Onboarding Team of the Credit Card Originations organization. As a Product Owner, you will bring a strategic mindset and passion for experimentation as you work closely with Product Managers and collaborate with a variety of agile delivery teams, partners, and stakeholders across the organization. You will employ product management and agile techniques to optimize products for our customers. You will help drive the delivery of outcomes to the marketplace through ownership of the product backlog inclusive of prioritization, transparency into upcoming work, setting of product goals, and communication to support shared understanding.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives including understanding current capabilities and building for the future
  • Employ a customer-obsessed mindset and product management techniques to pursue a deep knowledge of customer behavior and act as their voice in discovery and product refinement
  • Orchestrate discovery practices, including testing and experimentation, to create a shared understanding of the technology domain, business strategy, and customer desire in the marketplace in partnership with design and engineering partners
  • Collaborate with your Product Manager, Area Product Owners, and stakeholders to contribute to and influence the overall product vision and roadmap
  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations of global market dynamics, trends, and regulatory impact
  • Oversee risk management to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with managers, stakeholders, scrum masters, project managers, and delivery team to resolve issues and achieve project goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a mentor to less experienced staff
  • Foster a strong agile discipline that inspires teams to continuously improve delivery evidenced through key agility metrics
  • Build frameworks for complex decision making that enable effective debate and accelerate getting to the right answer


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of a product operating model and experience with agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration in Financial Services with an emphasis in Consumer Lending or Small Business Card
  • Experience with agile practices and tools such as Confluence and JIRA
  • Ability to embrace innovation, collaboration, and experimentation to uncover new and unique opportunities for product advancement
  • Strong ability to leverage various communication methods and styles across varying levels and sizes of audiences to convey the vision of the product and address critical decision points to sustain team, customer, and stakeholder excitement around the product
  • Demonstrated track record of effective influencing and collaboration at all levels
  • Understanding of data-driven product development and performance measurement
  • Exposure to AI models for conversion/balance deepening optimization
  • Exceptional problem solving abilities
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex business and operational concepts so they are clearly understood in support of sound decisions to meet business objectives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly communicate results

Candidate must be willing to work onsite at the stated location on a hybrid schedule.
