Wells Fargo is seeking a seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong hands‑on experience building integration solutions across SaaS, COTS, cloud‑hosted applications, and internal enterprise platforms. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining integration services, APIs, and data pipelines that enable seamless interoperability across systems.
You will work closely with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and automated platform integration capabilities.
In this role, you will:
Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts
Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment
Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges that are related to low to medium risk deliverables and that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains
Present recommendations for resolving issues or may escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements
Exercise some independent judgment while also developing understanding of given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements
Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with automation scripting (Bash/PowerShell).
Exposure to enterprise transformation programs.
Experience with API gateways, service mesh, or container networking.
Agile development experience.
2 years of software engineering experience with focus on system/platform integration.
Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar languages.
Experience with:
REST/GraphQL API development
Integration patterns and frameworks
Kafka/RabbitMQ/message brokers
Working knowledge of SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCP).
Understanding of OAuth, JWT, certificates, and secure integration patterns.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
Job Expectations:
Develop and maintain integration components, custom connectors, and platform adapters.
Implement real‑time and batch integrations across enterprise systems.
Support data synchronization using REST/GraphQL for synchronous patterns and Kafka/RabbitMQ for asynchronous workflows.
Participate in root‑cause analysis and issue resolution across environments.
Build and maintain REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices.
Implement best practices for API security, versioning, error handling, and monitoring.
Develop reusable integration modules and utilities.
Work with SaaS and internal applications deployed on OCP, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Build and deploy services using Kubernetes/OpenShift/Docker.
Use Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
Develop ETL/ELT processes for ingestion, transformation, and distribution.
Work with SQL/NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB.
- Optimize queries, data flows, and integration performance.
Participate in design discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews.
Follow engineering standards, testing practices, and documentation processes.
