About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer

In this role, you will:

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Experience:

• Overall 6+ years of experience, 3+ years working with Azure/GCP and a proven track record for the below mentioned skills.

• 2+ years of hands-on exposure and knowledge of cloud automation tools such as Terraform and GitHub and familiarity working within modern IaC pipelines

• Must have advanced cloud certification on Azure/GCP.

• Expert in designing, building, and automating solutions having sound knowledge on the following areas with an expertise on one of them -

• Ability to design, develop, and implement large scale/complex software applications using GCP/Azure data and analytics services.

• Proficient and have a thorough understanding of Cloud service Data/Analytics offerings on one or more of them – Composer, BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Factory, Data Bricks, Synapse, Data Share, Data Explorer, Data Flow, BLMS(Big Lake Metastore), Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, KMS etc.

• Expertise with planning, modeling, design, implementation, support, and performance optimization to deliver data/analytics as a Service.

• Support unit, integration, quality, and performance testing and exposure to troubleshooting of the data/analytics products.

• Experienced in Agile/Kanban delivery with hands-on involvement, supported by strong Enterprise Change Management and change control practices within procedural, process-driven environments, along with solid knowledge of the SDLC for Data Engineering, CI/CD concepts, GitHub, and branching strategies.

• Strong Hands-on experience in Python / Java programming

• Should be a quick learner and team player

• Exposure to Javascript frameworks like React, Angular, node.js

• Knowledge of Go language

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiences

• Ability to deliver & engage with partners effectively in a multi-cultural environment by demonstrating co-ownership & accountability in a matrix structure.

• Delivery focus and willingness to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

Job Expectations:

• Work on complex technology Cloud initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.

• Act as a key contributor in building and enabling the Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure as a Code and engineering solutions to deploy and manage application in cloud.

• Contribute to developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering and large-scale technology solutions. Design, Optimization and Documentation of the Engineering aspects of the Cloud platform.

• Understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.

• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions in Cloud for strategic business objectives and solving technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple parameters, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors.

• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.

• Build and Enable cloud infrastructure, automate the orchestration of the entire Azure/GCP Cloud Platforms for Wells Fargo Enterprise.

• Working in a globally distributed team to provide innovative and robust Cloud centric solutions.

• Closely working with Product Team and Vendors to develop and deploy Cloud services to meet customer expectations
