About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer.
We are seeking a Senior Library Engineer to help manage, operate and improve the Software Library, the centralized repository storing all approved third-party assets. This role will be responsible for capturing and importing new components and other relevant information about those components, verifying component integrity, and implementing changes in collaboration with other members of the team. The successful candidate will also refine and document processes and procedures and contributed to the continued enhancement and development of this capability within Wells Fargo using an array of technical and process focused skills. They will be capable of handling multiple, concurrent requests with precision, care and customer focus, be capable of working quickly, aided by a broad array of skills and support a culture of continuous application improvements to process automation and release engineering.
In this role, you will:
Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
Drive solutions to reduce recovery
Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
Design complex system upgrades
Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualification:
Subversion experience
Knowledge and understanding of technology risks related to business risks
Knowledge and understanding of technology software: packaging, distribution, and troubleshooting
Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles
Experience with testing techniques such as regression testing, ad hoc testing, feature testing, security testing, user interface testing, integration testing, performance testing
Job Expectations:
Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Experience with software asset management practices
Experience with source/version control tools
Red Hat command line interface experience
Experience with issue tracking tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Bugzilla)
The Senior Infra Engineer role is essential for delivery execution, and cross team coordination required to advance developer experience for Software Automations in Software Delivery Team.
This position is directly tied to high‑impact programs such as the Ansible playbooks creation for software delivery team and for future roadmap execution of the playbook through Arbor, and its absence risks delaying key automation improvements delivered through Arbor, Helix and Orchestra.
These automation capabilities are foundational for shifting operational tasks left, enabling developer self‑service and significantly reducing manual effort across infrastructure operations.
Research vendor websites to obtain a complete component
Download and import software to several different repositories depending on the needs.
Communicates status and escalate complex issues
Continuously seek process and automation enhancements to further streamline the work.
Stay abreast of emerging market and industry opportunities in the tools space. Provides feedback and review regarding these opportunities to management
Recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
