About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in .Net full stack Software Enterprise Application design and development.
- Experience in designing/developing Banking applications is desirable.
- Expertise in designing and developing enterprise applications using Technology stack like .NET core, C#, web services, Cloud native design/technology, SOAP/REST, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript/CSS/HTML5/jQuery, Microservices Architecture Patterns, Hibernate, Databases (RDBMS/NOSQL), Event Driven Architecture – Kafka and Devops tools
- Experience working on SQL server, NOSQL, MongoDB and any one relational DB such as SQL Server
- Experience in transforming Monolith/legacy applications to Microservice Architecture.
- Very good knowledge/Experience in designing and developing Scalable, Secure, resilient, Cloud Ready Application using “12 factor principles” to ensure that the application runs on cloud environments (AWS, PCF, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Good working knowledge and experience in continuous integration frameworks like Jenkins.
- Good working knowledge and experience in testing, Automation, Selenium, BDD.
- Good Working knowledge of Gen AI (generative AI), Agentic AI, working with LLMs
- Container Technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, PKS
- Good to have - Certifications on Azure, GCP, PCF
- Experience using GitHub Copilot and other Gen AI tools for productivity
- Experience working with LLMs, NLP, Gen AI models
Job Expectations:
- Responsible for designing resilient, scalable and secure platform solutions.
- Ability to develop and maintain web applications based on .NET framework, latest UI technologies and WCF/Web API services
- Strong in RDBMS and SQL database concepts to support the team in database archival strategies and performance tuning.
- Designing and developing Gen AI and Agentic AI based solutions
- Work closely with infrastructure, security, support and architecture groups to sunrise and sunset platform products.
- Understand the technology touch points for integrating composite service capabilities like Document Understanding, Process Mining etc., with core platform products to provide end-to-end business solution for stakeholders.
- Work along with RPA vendors, work on product roadmaps, test new releases & rollout upgrades
- Identify gaps in vendor products, fill gaps with custom engineering and develop tools
- Identifying and communicating the technical infrastructure requirements.
- Designing application solutions in accordance with standard automation design principles and standards.
- Creating and maintaining solution documentation.
- Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
- Provide timely responses and solutions to the ongoing challenges.
- Supporting the business teams during the UAT and rollout phases
- Providing guidance, training and up-skilling the development team as required
- Work closely with the development teams to review the deliverables and assist in development, testing, bug-fixes, etc.
- Conduct code reviews, provide demonstration of the application solution to various stakeholders
- Deployment of defined front line risk methodology for efficient risk governance.
- Periodically review infrastructure capacity, plan & scale accordingly.
- Identifying process improvements and implement possible solutions
