About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer

In this role, you will:

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack applications using Python and modern frontend frameworks
• Lead end-to-end feature delivery, from requirements analysis to production deployment
• Participate in architecture and system design discussions, ensuring scalability and maintainability
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code aligned with best practices
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices

• Ensure adherence to security, performance, and reliability standards
• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Python development (Django / Flask / FastAPI)
• Hands-on experience with frontend technologies - React / Angular / Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and OOP concepts
• Exposure to Java (Spring Boot) or .NET Core / ASP.NET Core as secondary skillsets
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis)
• Understanding of API security (OAuth2, JWT)
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Experience with test automation frameworks
