About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack applications using Python and modern frontend frameworks
- Lead end-to-end feature delivery, from requirements analysis to production deployment
- Participate in architecture and system design discussions, ensuring scalability and maintainability
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
- Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code aligned with best practices
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices
- Ensure adherence to security, performance, and reliability standards
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong expertise in Python development (Django / Flask / FastAPI)
- Hands-on experience with frontend technologies - React / Angular / Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and OOP concepts
- Exposure to Java (Spring Boot) or .NET Core / ASP.NET Core as secondary skillsets
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis)
- Understanding of API security (OAuth2, JWT)
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with test automation frameworks
