This is a remote position; however, the candidate must reside within 30 miles of one of the following locations: Boston, MA; San Francisco Bay Area, CA; and Portland, ME.
About the Team/Role
As a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer, you will lead the implementation of CI/CD pipelines, optimize deployment workflows, and ensure high availability of Kubernetes workloads across Fabric PaaS and cloud platforms.
How will you make an impact
Architect and refine CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and Argo CD.
Manage Kubernetes clusters, optimize resource allocation, and troubleshoot networking and security configurations.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, Ansible) for scalable and secure environments.
Implement and optimize service mesh solutions such as Istio for traffic management.
Automate security compliance and enforce best practices for containerized applications.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DevOps engineers and new team members to support their onboarding and professional growth.
Experience you’ll bring
3-5 years of experience in DevOps, software development, or cloud automation.
Must Have:
CI/CD Mastery: Extensive hands-on experience designing CI/CD pipelines that integrate testing, security scanning, and automated rollbacks.

Kubernetes & Container Orchestration: Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, including:
Workload scheduling (requests/limits, affinity/anti-affinity).
Cluster networking (Ingress controllers, DNS resolution, Fabric PaaS integrations).
Persistent storage management (PVCs, Stateful Sets, CSI drivers).

Infrastructure Automation: Expertise in Terraform, Helm, and Ansible, including:
Developing reusable modules for infrastructure provisioning.
Automating system configuration using Ansible playbooks.

Service Mesh & Traffic Management: Hands-on experience implementing Istio, Linkerd, or Consul for:
Traffic shaping and observability.
Policy-based security enforcement
Should Have:
Multi-Cluster Management: Exposure to managing multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.
Progressive Delivery Techniques: Experience with Blue-Green, Canary deployment strategies, and Feature Flagging concepts and their role in controlled rollouts (e.g., LaunchDarkly, Unleash, Flipt).
Developer Enablement: Ability to work closely with software engineers to improve build/deploy efficiency.
