About The Team / Role
The Financial Strategy Analyst will provide critical support for business decision-making through effective financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting. The role will focus on analysing current business operations, contributing to annual budgets, delivering accurate forecasts, and producing the monthly business review pack. Success requires exceptional attention to detail, strong commercial insight, advanced Excel expertise, and a proactive, self-starting approach in a fast-paced environment.

How You’ll Make An Impact
Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models for both ongoing business performance and new commercial opportunities.
Conduct deep-dive financial analysis to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
Support annual budgeting and forecasting by partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
Analyse variances between actual and forecast results, identifying trends and explaining key drivers.
Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for strategic decision-making.
Produce the monthly business review pack with accurate data and insightful commentary.
Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to evaluate performance and offer financial guidance.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity through strong financial controls.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency.
Experience You’ll Bring
Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting in a dynamic business environment.
Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data visualisation, and modelling.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Commercial acumen — ability to translate financial data into business insights.
Strong communication skills to present complex information to non-finance audiences.
Industry experience in fleet services, energy, or financial services (desirable).
Knowledge of ERP/financial systems such as Oracle, Business Objects, Peoplesoft (advantageous).
