We are currently looking for a highly motivated and analytical Financial Scheme Analyst to join our growing finance team. This role will play a crucial part in our financial planning and analysis, helping to drive strategic decisions by providing key insights into our performance, with specific focus on schemes.

Highly competitive salary between £50,000-£55,000 (dependant on experience)

How you’ll make an impact
Financial Modeling: Build intermediate to advanced financial models from the ground up to support scenario and sensitivity analysis for various financial outcomes.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with key stakeholders to prepare accurate financial forecasts and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with our regional analysts.
Performance Analysis: Analyze monthly actuals against budgets and forecasts. Develop a deep understanding of key drivers, such as volume, rate & mix and customer economics, to provide clear explanations for variances.
Contractual Analysis: Gain an understanding of contractual obligations with schemes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve and automate current reporting processes. Demonstrate an openness to new ideas and a willingness to implement process changes that increase efficiency and accuracy.
Scheme Reconciliation: Accurately reconcile scheme volumes to ensure precise invoicing of schemes and proper accrual of associated fees and incentives.
Risk & Opportunity Analysis: Leverage monthly financial results and performance data to forecast potential financial opportunities and risks, providing actionable insights to senior management.
Experience you’ll bring
Ideally fully qualified, Part Qualified or Qualified by experience
A fundamental understanding of core financial concepts, including P&L and balance sheets and accrual accounting.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create complex financial models and manipulate large datasets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
A self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to learn and grow within the finance sector.
