We are one of the fast-growing products at Workday, and we’re passionate about solving enterprise-scale problems in a fast-paced, rapidly scaling environment. We are also passionate about innovation—not only in our technology and tools, but also in how we work.

About the Role

We are seeking a Sr AI Outbound Product Manager with a proven track record of delivering high-impact, high-velocity AI features within SaaS platform products. This role is both strategic and customer-facing, requiring exceptional attention to detail, strong user empathy, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to deeply understand product capabilities and translate them into clear, compelling value for customers, prospects, presales, and sales teams.

You will be at the epicenter of advancing our AI capabilities, driving alignment across engineering, go-to-market, and customer teams.

This position requires a balanced understanding of inbound product management (defining roadmaps, working with engineering, delivering features) and outbound product management (driving adoption, engaging customers, enabling GTM teams, and representing Workday in the market).

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the voice of the customer by gathering insights from customers, prospects, and internal teams to shape product direction and ensure that AI features—across Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting—deliver measurable value.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for GTM teams (Sales, Presales, Marketing, Services), providing clear messaging, content, and tools that effectively connect AI capabilities to customer business outcomes in enterprise planning.

  • Design and lead adoption initiatives to drive continuous customer value realization from AI features, while conducting competitive studies and building deep market insights into the enterprise performance management space to inform strategy and positioning.

  • Develop compelling narratives, presentations, and enablement materials that communicate the “what” and “why” of Workday’s AI capabilities, while representing Workday Adaptive Planning in customer meetings, conferences, and analyst briefings.

  • Contribute across the full AI product lifecycle—from strategic planning to execution—by partnering with engineering, design, and inbound product management to deliver innovative AI-driven features at speed and scale.

  • Translate Workday’s AI vision and product roadmap into clear customer value by aligning capabilities with customer pain points, business goals, and the broader value proposition in planning and forecasting.

  • Apply a deep understanding of AI technologies—including machine learning (e.g., time series forecasting, anomaly detection) and generative AI (chatbots, context engineering, ethics & governance, evaluation frameworks, summarization, content generation, natural language querying)—to influence product strategy and ensure responsible, high-value adoption.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years experience in product management, defining and delivering SaaS and/or cloud-based enterprise software products or features

  • Hands-on experience working with AI/ML-driven products or platforms

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to communicate technical features as business outcomes

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering, GTM, and customer-facing teams

  • Experience in building AI features within enterprise SaaS environments

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach

  • Ability to influence without authority and align diverse stakeholders to a common vision

  • Passion for innovation and driving measurable customer impact

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.
