About the Role

As a Senior Associate Software Development Engineer in the Professional Services team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality software solutions that empower our customers to succeed. You will contribute to improving delivery processes, infrastructure, and services while gaining hands-on experience across multiple projects in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

  • Support the enablement of HiredScore for customers, focusing on the implementation and onboarding processes.

  • Assist in identifying project risks and issues, providing input to change control processes, and ensuring timely resolution.

  • Work on multiple projects in parallel, helping to identify design gaps, address risks, and ensure completion according to priorities.

  • Build and enhance automated solutions that support Professional Services standards and principles, improving efficiency and consistency.

  • Configure new automated processes and assist in developing tools and infrastructure that are well-structured, maintainable, and easy to understand.

  • Collaborate in developing custom client solutions using HiredScore products.

  • Learn from senior engineers and participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and process improvement initiatives.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of practical software development experience, including at least 1 year in Python, with production-level coding, testing, and deployment.

  • 1+ year experience with NoSQL databases, including writing queries, optimizing indexes, and following database best practices.

  • 2+ years proficiency with development tools such as JIRA for project tracking and GitHub for version control and code collaboration, as well as familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization/orchestration using Kubernetes and/or Docker.

  • Clear customer focus. Providing the correct solution for the customer by understanding their needs.

  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, including SOLID principles, writing tests, error handling, logging, and unit/system testing.

  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a collaborative, startup-like environment.

  • Adaptable and resilient, able to manage changing priorities and challenges.

  • Strong process-focused mindset, with organized and methodical problem-solving skills.

  • Strong analytical skills, capable of understanding customer needs and translating them into technical requirements.

  • Passion for technology, teamwork, and solving complex engineering problems.
