About the Team

The Workday Workforce Management Product Management team is a growing, collaborative group dedicated to building the most advanced and engaging solutions in the market, spanning our established Absence Management and Time Tracking products alongside our newest innovations in Scheduling and Labor Optimization. We are looking for motivated problem-solvers and strong collaborators who are passionate about using cutting-edge technology to redefine how customers engage with frontline workers in a rapidly evolving world of work. Our team works in close partnership with peers in Development, Automation, and Quality Assurance across the entire suite of Workday HCM and Workforce Management products to tackle complex business problems and drive meaningful product growth.

About the Role

Our Product Management team in Chennai is growing! We are looking for an experienced leader with Workforce Management and Product Management expertise to drive continued global growth and success for our target industries.

We're seeking a motivated self-starter with a proven track record of taking product solutions from concept to launch in a fast-paced, agile environment. This is a “hands-on” people-management position where you will lead a team of PMs to execute a compelling product vision. You will collaborate closely with Development and Quality Assurance as your primary partners, while also engaging with Alliances, Product Strategy, Services, and other Product Leads across the business.

As a proactive, people-first leader, you will cultivate the product vision within your team and communicate it effectively across our global WFM organization. Your leadership style should promote constructive relationships with both customers and Workmates, bringing fresh perspectives to help us build best-in-class Workforce Management solutions.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a people leadership role, ideally within a technology or product-focused organization.

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of defining and delivering SaaS or cloud-based enterprise software.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.


Other Qualifications

  • Deep functional understanding of Workforce Management domains (e.g., Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll); experience with Workday is a significant advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to build high-trust environments that foster effective collaboration and team productivity.

  • A disciplined approach to decision-making, with a focus on prioritizing business goals, reducing complexity, and ensuring product quality.

  • Strong commitment to talent development and a clear understanding of how to coach and mentor junior team members.

  • Proven ability to build positive, influential relationships with individual contributors and cross-functional partners (Development, Services, Sales, and Customer Support).

  • Experience leading product teams in the creation of user-centric designs and features that drive customer satisfaction.
