Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Data Manager with strong technical and managerial expertise to lead enterprise data initiatives. The candidate should have hands-on experience with modern data platforms, ETL, BI tools, and data governance, along with proven leadership in Agile delivery and team management.
Key Responsibilities
Data Projects: Manage data migration, data processing, and data quality initiatives ensuring reliability and performance.
Data Warehouse Management: Lead design, development, and optimization of Snowflake-based data warehouses.
ETL/ELT: Oversee ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
Data Governance: Implement and monitor processes for data masking, cleansing, migration, schema management, and configuration.
BI & Reporting: Drive enterprise reporting and analytics using Power BI, Sigma, or equivalent BI tools.
AI & Advanced Analytics: Leverage data AI/ML techniques for data analytics, business insights (good to have).
Agile Delivery: Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and ensure on-time delivery in an Agile environment.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor cross-functional data engineering, BI, and analytics teams to deliver high-impact projects.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and global teams to align data strategy with business outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience
12–15 years of IT experience with 7+ years in data engineering/warehousing and 5+ years in managerial roles.
Strong expertise in Snowflake Data Warehouse concepts and architecture.
Hands-on experience in ETL tools, data pipelines, and data processing frameworks.
Solid exposure to BI platforms such as Power BI, Sigma, or Tableau.
Strong foundation in Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and project delivery.
Proven experience in managing mid- to large-sized teams (onsite/offshore).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a global mindset.
Good to Have
Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their native data services.
Knowledge of DataOps, MLOps, and modern data engineering practices.
Familiarity with Python, Spark, or dbt for data transformations.
Certifications in Snowflake, Power BI, Agile, or PMP.
