Job Duties:

Crown is seeking an engineer to help design and improve mechanical drivetrain systems and related components. This role supports new product development and ongoing product updates.

  • Help plan and develop drivetrain system designs.
  • Create and update mechanical designs using CAD tools.
  • Analyze components such as gears, shafts, and bearings to ensure they meet performance needs.
  • Support testing and review results to improve designs.
  • Work with other teams such as manufacturing, quality, service, and purchasing.
  • Document your work clearly for team use.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of mechanical design experience.
  • CAD and 3D modeling skills.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T.
  • Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Occasional travel with overnight stays (0–5%).
  • Reliable transportation to travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with gear or drivetrain standards.
  • Experience with gear or drivetrain analysis software.
  • Understanding of casting or forging design.
  • Experience with tolerance stack-ups.
  • Basic knowledge of materials and heat treatment.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly processes.
