The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. - DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop applications in compliance with functional and non-functional requirements
- Construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional and non-functional requirements
- Follow design and code standards, contributing to continuous improvement discussions
- Create and maintain system documentation
- Align risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; advances appropriately
- Contribute to the design of components or individual programs
- Provide production support for applications as needed
- Work with domain experts reviewing technical designs and specifications
- Apply different software development methodologies dependent on project needs
- Work with peers to mature ways of working, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
- Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; advances appropriately
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- Hands on experience in software development using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Sprint/Spring Boot, REST API, and/or SQL.
- Demonstrable using CI/CD tools especially GIT, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, and Jira.
- Experience using the following development tools: Visual Studio, IntelliJ, or Eclipse.
- Demonstrated capability working with middleware like IBM MQ, Kafka, and/or Tomcat application servers.
- Familiarity working with relational databases including Oracle and/or Amazon Aurora.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud functionality (servers, database, etc.).
- Solid focus on software testing with Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, Jasmine, and/or Karma.
- Angular, React, or any UI experience would be a plus.
- Experience in different phases of the system development life cycle including project planning, analysis, design, development, and testing.
- Familiarity with different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and environments (Windows, Linux, etc.).
- Ability to fix and problem solve while working on complex systems with large data volumes.
- Fosters a culture where honesty and transparency are expected.
- Knows the latest on changes in their own specialist area and seeks out learning opportunities to ensure knowledge is up-to-date.
- Collaborates well within and across teams.
- Communicates openly with team members and others.
- Resolves disagreements between colleagues effectively, minimizing the impact on the wider team.

About the Team
Serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC’s business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for leveraging new technology. The goal of this new department is to partner internally with IT, our business and regulatory divisions and externally with clients, regulators, and fintech vendors, to help build new platforms and business models to advance DTCC’s mission to support the financial markets.
