Dr. Rachel Greenstadt at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Research Associate.

Professor Rachel Greenstadt leads a research team of students with interests and expertise in information extraction, machine learning, human-centered computing, privacy, trust, and security. The lab is a part of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering (https://engineering.nyu.edu/academics/departments/computer-science-and-engineering) and the NYU Center for Cybersecurity (https://cyber.nyu.edu/).

Expectations

Candidates will be responsible for collaborating on human-centered computing projects and should be familiar with qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Salary range

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the minimum annual salary range for this position is $48,000 depending on the candidate’s experience and qualification. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Expected start date and period of employment

The expected start date is August 2024. The initial contract will be for six months and may be renewed based on satisfactory performance.

Qualifications

Qualifications include a strong research portfolio in information integrity, human-centered computing, security, and privacy. Applicants should be senior graduate students or have a PhD in computer or information sciences or related field.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and driven, creative, team-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a multidisciplinary environment. Eligible candidates must present eligibility to work in the United States.
