RESEARCH ENGINEER

Agile Robotics and Perception Laboratory

The Agile Robotics and Perception Lab at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Research Engineer to join an exciting project on the Agile Robotics and Perception Lab at the New York University. Responsibilities:

Candidates will be responsible for working closely with our interdisciplinary team to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions to complex robotics problems. The candidate will have the opportunity to leverage their technical expertise and creativity to drive research initiatives forward and make a meaningful impact.

Salary:

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $48.000, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualification

Qualifications

We are seeking someone who has a Master level degree in engineering or related field, or a Bachelor degree with at least 2-3 years of experience. The successful candidate will conduct research and experimentation to solve technical challenges that include designing and implementing prototypes and proof-of-concept systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and refine project goals, analyzing and interpret data to draw actionable insights, contributing to technical documentation and reports, and staying up-to-date with the latest technical advancements in robotics. The candidate will have to show mastery in software programming and common tools used in robotics such as C/C , Python, and ROS as well as experience with microprocessors programming. Eligible candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
