Description
A part-time associate research scientist position is available in the Center for Quantum Information Physics under the direction of Professor Javad Shabani in the Department of Physics at New York University. The successful candidate will participate in the research activities of the lab with graduate and undergraduate students. This opportunity provides a transition to career independence through the development of professional skills; supervision by a senior scientist incorporating an individual development plan in support of training goals and those of faculty mentors. This position will be focused on material development for superconducting quantum electrons. The work will specifically involve participating in: process design and development, device fabrication, and materials characterisation.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $18.00/hr - $30.00/hr. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
