We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Product Manager in Chicago, IL

Job Duties: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data governance strategies and practices, enabling Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) generation. Implement data quality/management standards and procedures to maintain the integrity and accuracy of data used in AI/ML models. Perform data analysis and queries to support various business initiatives and provide insights to stakeholders. Support development and refinement of strategies for data governance, applying industry best and leading practices. Analyze large datasets identifying trends and providing insights to inform decision making processes aimed at mitigating data risks that could impact the AI/ML model generation. Develop and maintain governance frameworks and policies for AI/ML data assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Conduct impact assessments and risk analyses to identify potential risks and opportunities related to AI/ML initiatives and data governance practices. Perform systems testing to assess the effectiveness of vulnerability countermeasures. Collaborate with product and data engineering teams to implement data governance tools and technologies. Provide training and support to end-users on data governance services, practices, policies and procedures. Understand implication of AI regulations for effective governance of the data supporting the AI/Model initiatives. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Systems Analysis, Engineering, or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

1. Experience integrating data governance best practices while working with cross-functional teams to build business requirements and ensure the enablement of AI/ML capabilities (3 years).

2. Experience developing and maintaining governance frameworks, standards and policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices (3 years).

3. Experience driving data quality reviews for critical data elements, performing data profiling, and generating quality rules for productionization (3 years).

4. Experience using SQL to access, profile and report on disparate data stored within various data environments, with the ability to create Power BI and Tableau dashboards to present key insights to senior management for key performance metrics (3 years).

5. Experience performing analysis of end-to-end data lineage, along with overseeing related controls and quality checks (3 years).

6. Experience conducting impact analysis assessments and risk assessments, by analyzing large dataset and providing insights to inform decision making processes aimed at mitigating data risks that could impact downstream data consumers (3 years).

7. Experience developing and rolling out user surveys and training activity to end-users on data governance services, practices, policies and procedures (3 years).

8. Experience working in a large-scale data environment to perform data remediation as it pertains to security controls that will aid in the protection and privacy of data (3 years).

9. Experience overseeing annual certification/attestation of critical data elements, lineage models and metadata to meet minimum governance standards and ensure policy compliance (2 years).

10. Experience with data governance tools and technologies to support the full data lifecycle (2 years).

11. Experience working in an agile environment for product and program implementation (2 years).

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

Primary Location | Pay Range:

Chicago, IL | Salary: $119,558.00-199,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
