Job Summary:
The SPEI Operator Senior Analyst is responsible for the management, monitoring, and supervision of transactions carried out through the Interbank Electronic Payment System (SPEI), ensuring their proper execution, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role is key to the security, continuity, and stability of the company’s operations.Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Consult and execute risk processes such as risk identification, assessment, and control evaluation
- Execute end-to-end risk assessments
- Monitor inventory and update as needed
- Compete business process and control mapping
- Complete end to end risk assessments
- Manage and resolve issues and incidents
- Interface with the Second Line of Defense (SLOD) to apply risk frameworks and protocols
- Execute and oversee risk management activities within the Operational Unit
- Consult with the Business Control Services Center (BCSC) for execution support
- Execute and refresh risk assessment including risk identification, documentation, rating, and control evaluation
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:
Main Responsibilities
Monitor and process transactions through the SPEI, ensuring their efficient and timely execution.
Validate and confirm transactions, identifying and resolving anomalies or failures in processing.
Ensure compliance with SPEI regulations and applicable rules issued by the Bank of Mexico and the CNBV.
Manage and resolve operational incidents within SPEI in coordination with internal departments.
Collaborate with the compliance, risk, and audit teams in regulatory and operational reviews.
Generate operational and regulatory reports on SPEI activity, including analysis of unusual patterns or risk alerts.
Maintain constant monitoring of SPEI transactions to prevent interruptions and potential impacts on operations.
Document procedures and best practices in SPEI management.
Participate in the implementation of operational improvements and optimization projects for SPEI infrastructure.
Continuous training on SPEI regulations, new functionalities, and monitoring tools in order to stay up-to date.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
Advanced knowledge of SPEI.
Management of SPEI operation platforms and payment engines.
Knowledge of the connection and daily operation of SPEI (start of the day, balance management, intermittent issues, reconciliations, and reports).
Knowledge of SPEI regulations issued by the Bank of Mexico and the CNBV.
Experience in monitoring transaction activity, data analysis, and detection of operational anomalies.
