Job Summary:

What you need to know about the role-
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join PayPal’s Developer Experience team, where you will design and build the platforms, SDKs, and integration tooling that enable external developers and merchants to seamlessly connect their systems with PayPal. You will bring strong backend expertise in Java alongside hands-on experience in Node.js and frontend technologies, working across the full stack to deliver the APIs, developer portals, sandbox environments, and workflows that define how the world integrates with PayPal’s payment platform.

The Developer Experience team at PayPal is responsible for building the platforms, SDKs, and integration tooling that power the developer ecosystem. We work across the full stack — from robust backend Java services and REST APIs to Node.js middleware and frontend components — to deliver the tools that define how external developers and merchants integrate with PayPal.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations), based on definitions from more senior roles.
• Advises immediate management on project-level issues
• Guides junior engineers
• Operates with little day-to-day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices
• Applies knowledge of technical best practices in making decisions

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
