Job Summary:

The Senior Product Manager within the Global Product Solutions team will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for Cross-Border Trade (CBT)—a critical focus area for PayPal’s global growth. This role will shape PayPal’s end-to-end product vision for international commerce, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations while delivering exceptional merchant and consumer experiences.

The successful candidate will drive the development of scalable solutions that simplify international selling and payments for merchants, balancing innovation, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Sales, and Partnerships to bring strategy to execution, from concept through delivery and adoption.

This position is an individual contributor role with high visibility across PayPal’s global leadership.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Uses data to build insights on product or platform requirements consistent with the shared vision for the product.
  • Gathers insights from the customer experience and customer needs to input to product requirements
  • Analyzes research, market analysis and usability studies, research and market analysis to support data-driven decision making
  • Monitors product profitability measures, including budget.
  • Lead sprint planning, daily standups and retrospectives to drive execution. Interfaces with product and technology leadership as needed.
  • Partners with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers to identify new opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Ownership:

Define and execute the product strategy for Cross-Border Trade, aligning with PayPal’s global growth objectives and strategic imperatives.

Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap that balances market expansion, regulatory compliance, and merchant enablement.

Execution & Delivery:

Lead the design, build, and rollout of new cross-border payment capabilities, including duty and tax management, localized compliance, and settlement optimization.

Drive the successful transition of MVPs to General Availability (GA) through scalable integration, operational readiness, and commercial adoption.

Customer Experience:

Embed customer and merchant insights into product decisions through usability studies, discovery sessions, and market research.

Ensure seamless product experiences that drive trust, transparency, and growth in international trade.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Finance, Data Science, and Design teams to build globally compliant and scalable solutions.

Collaborate with regional leadership to localize product offerings across key markets (e.g., UK, EU, APAC).

Data & Performance Management:

Monitor key product metrics such as adoption, profitability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Lead workstreams for analytics, market research, and competitive benchmarking to drive data-informed decision-making.

Governance & Reviews:

Participate in Product, Operating, and Business Reviews to ensure execution accountability and stakeholder alignment.

Track and report on key outcomes against roadmap milestones and OKRs.
