The DLE Entertainment Systems team is a bi-coastal team that supports and manages applications around the globe for Disney Live Entertainment. The team handles the day-to-day development and support of multiple applications, partnering with teams such as Talent Casting, Costuming, Guest Talent, Fireworks, and more.

As the Entertainment Systems Application Admin, you will be responsible for the oversight of custom developed and third-party applications used throughout Disney Live Entertainment. You will work on several projects including support, implementation and upgrades of Costuming and Entertainment systems worldwide.

This position reports to the Entertainment Application Admin Manager and can sit in either Orlando, FL or Anaheim, CA.

You will:

  • Establish relationships and work closely with end-users and clients when troubleshooting software/hardware issues, bug fixes, and improvements.
  • Ensure day-to-day sustainment and maintenance for 3rd party and in-house applications.
  • Assist with software releases, providing user access, submitting software approvals for use on the Disney network, and resolving end user software related problems.
  • Write and implement system test cases. Perform functional system test cases and coordinate UAT, providing regular progress reports. Work with developers and end users through to successful resolution.
  • Create and maintain required documentation of new software applications and enhancements.
  • Manage license inventories and payment schedules for licenses.
  • Project specific tasks relating to software releases and hypercare as directed

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in software administration or in a related role.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in software development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues and experience communicating project plans and requirements to partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to forge strong working relationships with IT and end users.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Have the ability to work after hours to support projects and maintenance activities.
  • Willing to travel to domestic and foreign venues as needed.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a passport and corporate credit card for travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical experience with Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, SSMS, SSRS and/or PowerBI reporting, and Service Now.
  • Experience with automated test script software.
  • Experience with web applications and understanding of basic HTML, Java, and/or CSS.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical area, or equivalent experience.

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $85,800.00-$115,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
