The approximate date of this internship is January 2026 to May/June 2026 and will be located in Glendale, CA.

What You Will Do

We are looking for a Resort-Wide Systems Engineering intern to join the team responsible for performing Resort-Wide Systems Engineering activities related to networks, telecommunications, and other low voltage systems. While working under the guidance of a more senior department team member on specific assignments you will have the opportunity to:

  • Define telecommunications and low voltage systems requirements
  • Review telecommunications and low voltage systems specifications and standards
  • Produce telecommunications and low voltage systems designs as required
  • Support mock-ups and proof of concepts as needed
  • Support field installation of all systems within scope of work
  • Develop designs that provide telecommunications and other low voltage systems as required for the operation of the facility
  • Develop, coordinate and maintain various telecommunications equipment inventories

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Understanding of electrical principles
  • Knowledge of computer, power and communications theory
  • Experience reading and creating construction drawings
  • Understanding of low voltage systems integration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to present technical concepts in a manner understandable by non-technical individuals
  • Experience using Revit and/or AutoCAD
  • Active membership in a professional engineering organization

Education

Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university, earning a degree in Electrical Engineering

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

Additional Information

  • Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
  • Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship in Glendale, CA
The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $30 per hour for undergraduate students and $35 per hour for graduate level students.
