About this role:

The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.

We are looking for an Application Engineer with experience in design, development of enterprise systems, handling high volumes of data. The candidate would design and implement solutions to support our clients. Technology toolkit involves RDBMS tools (SQL Server, Oracle), middleware services (Java/J2EE, Spring, Kafka/JMS), User Interaction (Angular9). The candidate will work closely with the Corporate Risk Governance organization in building and supporting an enterprise platform.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of experience analyzing requirements and designing new solutions for application and database components
  • 4+ years of Java experience
  • 3+ years of SQL development
  • 2+ years of Source Code Repositories like GIT
  • 2+ years with Gradle
  • 2+ years of JIRA
  • 2+ years working with and implementing Agile based delivery

Desired Qualifications:

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
  • 2+ years of compliance and regulatory systems experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Pay Range- Iseline, New Jersey (92,400-164,400k)

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$84,000.00 - $164,400.00
